The SBA Lender Score
A transparent 0–100 rating of an SBA lender’s lending profile (scale, track record, activity, and consistency), computed only from the public SBA record. Published method, never pay-to-play.
We score 1,648 SBA lenders (those with at least 20 funded loans; below that we report "insufficient data," not a low score). The score is a relative profile signal to help shortlist and benchmark, not a prediction that you'll be approved, not a guarantee, and not financial advice.

Track record
35%The 7(a) charge-off rate, shrunk toward the population mean so small samples aren’t over-trusted. Not reported for 504-only lenders (charge-off is a 7(a)-only field).
Scale
25%SBA loan count and funded volume: experience and commitment to the program.
Activity
25%Recent lending volume and trajectory: actively lending now, not just historically.
Consistency
15%Years active and volume stability: steady, reliable lending.
