How to read this. Every figure is computed from the public
SBA FOIA 7(a) and 504 data, FY2010–2026 (as of 2026-03-31).
Charge-off is 7(a)-only (504 loans don't report it); a
franchise with no 7(a) loans shows “n/a.” Franchises with at least 20 SBA loans are
included. Brands are grouped case-insensitively but not merged across
different spellings the SBA used (e.g. “SUBWAY” and “SUBWAY SANDWICH
SHOP” appear separately), the same no-guessing rule we use for lender names. See the
methodology.
